Резюме:
The article examines the practices, attitudes, perceived benefits, and risks associated with
the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in distance learning programmes in finance. The study is based on
an online survey conducted among students enrolled in master’s degree programmes in finance at St. Cyril
and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo. The results indicate that the use of AI is widespread among
the surveyed students, with its primary applications related to data analysis, explanation of theoretical
concepts, and verification of solutions and calculations. However, students demonstrate a relatively cautious
attitude towards the educational benefits of AI and show a clear awareness of the risks associated with
information reliability, academic integrity, and independent thinking. The correlation analysis reveals a
statistically significant positive relationship between the frequency of AI use and the perception that AI
facilitates the understanding of financial concepts and principles. The findings highlight also the need for a
balanced and responsible approach to the integration of AI into finance education.
