Abstract:
The European economic intrusion in Morocco began intensively at the end of the 19th century. Most of the European powers were looking not only for new markets, but also for resources for their growing manufacture. For the Kingdom of Morocco it became harder to react to the growing international pressure, which will hamper the country‘s sovereignty and as hard for Moroccan leaders to balance between the economic interests of different European powers.
