Abstract:

In the following text the author presents and discusses some ideas regarding the ethnological research on kinship, that have methodological and investigative meaning: problems of definition of traditional kinship and its consisting parts; terms and denominations; approaches and methods of study. Special attention is paid to the non-blood kinship relations, which still need an in-depth theoretical analysis and precise positioning in creating and preserving the traditional social order.
