Abstract:

At the end of the 60s of the 19th century, the church struggle of the Bulgarian people, which had acquired an organized character, was coming to a successful conclusion. On February 27, 1870, a firman was issued for the establishment of the Bulgarian Exarchate. In the following years, the church institution was constituted in the conditions of internal struggles and external canonical and political obstacles.
