Резюме:

The essay proposed aims to elaborate on the argument that it is the distinguishing characteristic of Christianity that it knows „The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob“ not in certain diverse forms of theophany (as in Judaism) or through given prophetic message (as in Islam) but rather „in Jesus Christ“. Christ, however, not only enables us to know who God is, but also what He is. God is Love and because of this He is Trinity. God is Trinity, because He is Love in Himself. The analysis unfolds following the key line uttered by Christ on His parting talk with the Disciples as we find it in the Johannine Gospel: „I am in the Father, and the Father in Me“. God – as Christ reveals this to us – is essentially Father because what is in God is not God Himself but the Son. God is essentially Son, as the Son is the content of the Father’s life. God – because of His being the Father Who lives in the Son as well as the Son Who lives in the Father – is not an ‘arithmetic’ One, but One-Love, Spirit of Love – The Holy Spirit.
