Abstract:

This article aims at presenting the ways to legally protect the trade secret against unlawful knowledge, use, or disclosure via an administrative procedure before the Competition Protection Commission (CPC) and the administrative courts of the Republic of Bulgaria. It analyzes the meaning and significance of the legal definitions of ‘trade secret’ under the Bulgarian legislation, the ways in which diligent commercial practices may be endangered, and the measures which a merchant must apply in order for their information to be treated as subject to legal protection.
