Abstract:
This article examines the early termination of the mayor’s office as an executive body in cases
where a conflict of interest has been established. The principles of local government are implemented precisely
through local government bodies. The mayor, as a body of executive power, is a type of state body directly
elected by the population. The early termination of his powers is a hypothesis that, although regulated in the
Law on local self-government and local administration, raises numerous questions, some of which I hope will
be answered by this article.
