Abstract:

This paper examines the implementation of digital technologies and gamification in preparing students for the National External Assessment (NEA) in mathematics for the 7th grade. An analysis of a survey conducted among students in the Shumen region reveals a growing interest in mobile applications and digital platforms, despite the importance of traditional textbooks. Gamification is established as an effective method for enhancing student motivation. The article presents the „MadMath“ application, which offers a personalized learning experience through integrated features for task management and interactive exercises. „MadMath“ allows students to track their progress and actively engage with the educational material. The conclusion highlights the need for expanding the functionalities of educational applications, such as „MadMath,“ to create effective learning environments. It is recommended to integrate new modules and utilize artificial intelligence to optimize the learning process in a dynamically changing educational landscape
