The national children's book festivals in Sliven is a cultural event of national and international significance for the development of literature for children and book publishing in Bulgaria. This article on Stella Valerieva Georgieva PhD, presents the activities of the XVIII national children's Book Festival, held in the city of Sliven on 8-9 may 2016. Briefly analysing manifestations of Bulgarian authors, artists, illustrators and new books related to the children's book publishing in Bulgaria and Europe. This article also present collection of reports of the Round table Sliven (9 – 11 May 2016), organized by “Sava Dobroplodni” Regional Library, with theme National Literatures for children in the global world, with the participation of scientists, academics, writers and publishers from Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey.
