Abstract:

The present development is an attempt to critically understand the problems of Bulgarian entrepreneurship at the current historical moment. Processes and trends are reported, both in the country and on a wider scale. Attention is focused on delineating a vision for development consistent with contemporary priorities. An algorithm of key steps is marked, about the ultimate goal – achieving sustainable development. The aspiration is, by carefully analyzing the situation – opportunities, risks, and limitations, to propose a new, more realistic time horizon for the implementation of significant transformations in our country. Development perspectives are outlined and a system of mutually complementary models for sustainable development of Bulgarian entrepreneurship is proposed.
