Formative Aspect of the Lagunae in Russian and Serbian Language

Abstract:

lexical, but also on the grammatical, formative, semantic and phraseological level. Particularly important and interesting is their formative aspect, which we have taken as the subject of this paper on the material of genetically related languages: Russian and Serbian. Using a comparative as well as a descriptive method in research, we define the formative lacuna through scientific analysis and present the most common formative lacunae for Russian and Serbian, as well as the possibilities of “compensation” within another language (Russian or Serbian). This analysis aims to point out that the formative is one of the most important aspects in the research of lacunae, and to also show as the possibilities of their “filling” in Russian and Serbian.
