Abstract:
The contributions made for the Ottoman culture and civilization by scientists and poets who were grown in Balkans have been very important for science and literature history. Just as, until the conquest of Istanbul, the important cultural centers of Ottaman Country are Bursa, Edirne, Gallipoli (Gelibolu), Serez, Yannitsa (Vardar Yenicesi), Shkupi (Üsküp), Manastır, Philippopolis (Filibe), Salonika (Selanik), Belgrat, Prizren and Prishtine (Priºtine) are the cities which settled down at the Rumelia. Philippopolis (Plovdiv) important places for the fact that there were many Divan poets in that Balkan geography. With this announcement our aim is to focus on the function of these region and their importance by giving information about these poets.
