Abstract:
The events of October 1925 in the region of Petrich are evidence of the military weakness of Bulgaria after its failure in the World War I. The invasion of the Greek army in the Bulgarian territory is the shortest war in the Balkans. Its termination is the result of the rapid and efficient intervention of the League of Nations. The attempts of the Bulgarian border authorities, general headquarters, and the Bulgarian government for peaceful settlement of the conflict gained the admirations of the global community. The events of 1925 are evidence for well protected borders and efficient involvement of international organizations in the Balkan conflicts.
