The Reflections of Eastern Europe in the West European Integration Process

Abstract:
East Europe has different reflections upon the European integration process – both as ideological conception but also as the active participation. The main aim of this text is to present tree examples of this reflection, which stimulate West European integration. First, the participation of East European resistance movements in the promotion of the European federal idea during and after the Second World War. Second, the main events in East European communist camp in the first decade of the Cold War, important reason of consolidation for West European integration project. Third, the first signs of reformation in the communist system in the 80’s – impulse for changes in the institutional structure of European Community.
