Abstract:

Historically, as a product of culture, tourism is based on three main motivational factors – entertainment, excitement, education (“the three E”). Taking into account these characteristics, our idea is to organize and conduct student practices and trips on chosen routes that to the utmost degree would combine the possibility of learning in action, the accumulation of positive experience and the building of ideas and perceptions for a future personal development. The studying of cultural heritage and tourism is the result of many conditions and factors: searching and tourist behaviour, the tourist policy and planning, sustainable tourist development, tourism demand and satisfaction by the tourism product, the tourist behaviour. This article recommends already realized routes for student training practices. The routes incorporate diverse tourist resources and accessibility. The resource has a qualitative expression, behind which the direct contact hides. In this sense we note the adequate attitude to the historical and geographical field, as well as the opportunity for exposition of the results. In this paper the stress is laid upon the cultural-cognitive importance of certain parts of Bulgaria. The countries of Eastern Europe coexist with the other member states of the European family. Their affiliation to the latter has been declared and defended repeatedly and this “stretches” the European tourist map to the East. This gives our country options for further development. The cultural sites in Bulgaria, rousing certain tourist interest, frame their character in the range of the national ones. Bulgaria has its own natural charm, enhanced by the pursuit of general representativeness, as well as by the specificity of thinking, behaviour and effectiveness of the “other look”. The routs acquaint with a variety of places and objects selected according to their availability, nature, time of creation and preservation. In the paper some important sites of the cultural tourism in different regions are presented. They predetermine the specific character of the development of tourism and are 544 an accent in the further mutual relations forming the axis cultural tourism – regional development – history. The geographical aspects of the cultural tourism are an element of the general attitude to the social process because they, even though only intuitively, arouse curiosity. Cultural tourism is topical in the circle of social expectation. Within the frames of public attitude it evokes mixed feelings, because of the unfocused way of manifestation state co-operation, provoking certain frustration, nostalgia and hope.
