Abstract:

The object of the present research is the “Kokalev chukal” peak on the territory of Lakavitsa village, Luky municipality, Plovdiv region. Folklore knowledge about it is documented during the ethnological field investigations of ‘Ongal’ Association in 1995. The non-fabulous prose for “Kokalev chukal” is of greatest interest for the purposes of this text. In archaeological aspect, almost nothing is known about the peak. There are no investigations up to this moment. The impressions caused by the visit in 2008 and the collected ceramic material from the place enabled it to be defined as a Thracian religious site of the Late Iron Age.
