Abstract:

For the years of independence, Cyprus has achieved very good results in its industrial development. On the island was created diversified processing industry that produces quality products that are well accepted in domestic and foreign markets. Nowadays, the government is taking action on the implementation of advanced technologies in industry and ways to create so-called “incubators” and to develop research centres for the development of new technologies. The overall level of economic growth is considered satisfactory given the negative impact of weather conditions that influenced the production and export of agricultural products. Structurally services indirectly related to tourism and in particular, the financial, business services and public services have achieved relatively high growth in contrast to the agricultural sector, where the decline was due to the liberalization of the foreign regime. In recent years, Cyprus has been identified as one of the 32 most developed economies in the world
