Abstract:

The paper discusses the current status and development of the established social and political organizations of the Bulgarian diaspora in Cyprus. Organizations have their own built structure, leadership and issue Bulgarian newspapers. The author traces in brief the problems that the Bulgarian citizens face, which arise from the relevant legal residence and work, social security, integration into the culture and traditions of the island. Emphasis is placed on finding jobs, the support of Bulgarian organizations in job placement, compliance with labor laws and others. As a result of the integration and adaptation of Bulgarian children in Cyprus there have been established for several years and have been working actively Saturday-Sunday schools under the auspices of the Consular Department of the Republic of Bulgaria in Nicosia, Larnaca, Limassol, Paphos and others. Special attention is paid to their cultural-educational activities and patriotic education for the preservation of the Bulgarian sels-consciousness.
