Abstract:

A language could be compared to a guidebook of every human being to himself and to the other people. The subject of our study is the lexical items with the meaning “cunning”, “lie” and “fraud” in the Russian, Bulgarian and Greek languages. In them are the mutual or the similar lexemes and lexical meanings of the words although only the first two of these three languages are related (Slavic). Enough examples are provided in order to proof the similarities rather than the differences between the three examined languages in accordance with the mentioned topic taking into consideration that, on one hand, two of them are Balkan and not related and, on the other hand, two of them are related, but only one among them is a Balkan language.
