Abstract:

The literary translation represents a complex, creative process in which implementation every translator develops his own techniques of translations and undertakes special, translation methods. The translation transformations are determined by differences between the source language and the language of translation, the translation from one language to another cannot be done without them. Our comparative analysis is based on three prosaic literary texts (one novel and two short stories) in Bulgarian language with Romanian translation: ,,In the night riding the white horses” written by Pavel Vejinov (translation by Tiberiu Iovan) and the short stories ,,Rock drawings” and ,,The Got” written by Yordan Radichkov (translation by Mihail Madzhari). In our literary translations from Bulgarian into Romanian language analysed by us, the most used syntactic transformations are: to change the complex sentence into simple sentence; to change the simple sentence into complex sentence; to change the compound sentences; substitution of a conjunction link with a non-conjunction link and substitution of a non-conjunction link with a conjunction link. Most of the considered syntactic transformations are affected by the morphological and lexical substitutions made in the translations process. There are syntactic transformations which are dicted by authors style.
