Abstract:

The state, development and management of the tour operator and agent activity in tourism in the contemporary conditions is of great interest. This interest is mainly provoked by questions about the future of the business and the models that travel agencies choose to keep their positions on the market. The enormous set of challenges and conditions that influence the development of this business pose a number of management tasks to analyze and resolve. Better management systems are needed to ensure their sustainable development in the context of uncertain market conditions and adapt to the requirements of the evolving tourism services market. As a result of the quantitative and qualitative changes in the world’s tourism and the dynamism of the tourist market, regardless of the national or regional specificities, we can talk about the general trends in the development of the tour operator’s and tourism activities, which are mostly related to the technological sectoral development and changes in supply and demand for tourism products and services.
