Problems in Measuring the Effectiveness in the Enterprises in Extractive Industry

Abstract:

In modern conditions, the extractive industry plays an extremely important role for our country and provides the industrial base of the economy. In the context of globalization, all economic operators and, as well as businesses operating in this sector face important questions about efficiency gains. Еvaluating the effectiveness of these businesses is crucial for stakeholders to create the preconditions for providing more useful information to all users of information and for sustainable development. The purpose of this report is to present the nature and role of effectiveness indicators as part of key business indicators in analyzing the overall performance of enterprises and in making management decisions. The various indicators and methods for analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of the enterprises presented in the specialized literature are reviewed. On this basis, an attempt was made to propose a model for analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of enterprises in the extractive industry, through a system of indicators grouped in terms of financial results, revenue and cost effectiveness, resources, capital, human capital, and profitability
