Abstract:

The purpose of the present paper is to analyze the phenomenon of overtourism, to outline its impact on the traditions, lifestyle and culture of the local population and the infrastructure in the destinations. The main methods that determine the processes of overtourism and the world best practices about its limitation, in order to preserve the sustainability of tourist destinations, are outlined.
