Abstract:

The globalization of information and communication in the world, coupled with the transformations it engenders in production and work, has been linked to the increasing forms of cultural and social diversity and thus to greater political pluralism, in the light of global integration and increased pressure to influence, prompting many researchers to question the new goals of political development. The idea of reform is an ancient idea for humanity. In the writings of ancient Greek philosophers such as Plato and Aristotle, we discover many reform ideas such as justice, laws, organization of society, state, political stability, fair distribution of wealth, and more. It could be argued that the idea of reform was not the ultimate goal of many philosophers, political and social leaders and movements around the world, and was a major theme in the political theories of philosophers and thinkers from the time of Machiavelli during the Middle Ages to Karl Marx in the twenties century. Nicolo Machiavelli spoke in his famous book “The Ruler” about the importance of reform and at the same time the difficulty and seriousness of creating a new reality. The main goal of the study is to focus on the controversies that have arisen and the social nature of the reform as a process for resolving political and economic crises and situations.
