Abstract:

Religious tourism has developed very dynamically in recent decades. The product of religious tourism includes countless many religious attractions, which can be grouped in the following areas: sacred places and religious centers serving the purposes of religiously motivated pilgrimage visits; religious buildings and monuments that have both historical and architectural value; religious events and holidays (festivals, processions, rites, services, etc.); cult objects, souvenirs, sound carriers, books and others with religious themes. Bulgaria, as well as Veliko Tarnovo, have significant religious tourist resources.
