Abstract:
The paper presents the result of the Roma adolescent births in the Republic of Bulgaria and the applied prevention policies in the field of social protection, healthcare and education. The identified problems (lack of sufficient information on Roma adolescent births; deficits in the professional capacity of specialists to work with Roma children and their families; difficult inter-institutional interaction and communication between all stakeholders; insufficient effective management of resources in view of the set goals and results and etc.) are a significant prerequisite limiting the success of the implemented policies and measures for prevention of adolescent births in the country.
