Abstract:

Aesthetics in the workplace is a prerequisite for increasing the tone and comfort of employees. The physical environment is integral to the organization. It, in this role, performs three main functions. Aesthetic function is sometimes underestimated in the management of the physical environment. The reason is that the efficiency of the employee in his work engagement does not directly affect the productivity. The aesthetic side, however, is related to the fullness of the “leader-subordinate” relationship, to the emergence of positive negative relationships. This feature is of interest in the management of social phenomena, in particular interpersonal relationships. This function of the physical environment has the potential to cause preconditions of a negative or positive nature for the organizational climate. The management of the modern organization presupposes active and expedient management and organization over aesthetics and symbolism. This managerial activity must meet a set of conditions, including compliance with the pursuit of organizational development and sustainability, the creation of intangible assets and a favorable atmosphere in the organization. Aesthetic function carries hidden forces of influence. This is regardless of the position, right and status of the persons, in relation to the right or use of elements of the function in question.
