Abstract:

Being a leader means to be familiar with all the rules, procedures and norms and follow them. Being a leader also means being able to motivate your employees to do their job, but not just to do it, but above all to be effective, to comply with all regulatory requirements and to be motivated. With this in mind, leadership means a conscious influence on the group, it also means giving security to employees or participants in this group and helping them to achieve both individual and overall goals. It should also be borne in mind that leadership is based on informal relationships and helps building personality, while also helping to harness the potential of people. It is also important to keep in mind that the leader and his/her followers (employees/participants in the group) are interdependent. In practice, leadership has existed since forever, but in theory, with the advancement of management science, the concept of leadership is becoming more relevant and is an integral part of good governance – leadership is about generating ideas, inspiring people and stimulating their implementation and is a two-way process that takes place between people. In the world we live in today, it is more than important for the development of organizations to be led by strong leaders who lead the way to innovation, to introduction of new technologies, to flexibility and adaptability to dynamically changing conditions. This clearly shows how important the influence of leadership on organizational behavior is.
