Abstract:

This paper discusses some negative impacts of natural and anthropogenic disasters affecting tourism and conservation of tourism resources. In our daily life, humanity is subjected to many dangerous natural phenomena, industrial accidents, terrorism, fires or road traffic accidents. In recent years, the impact of various natural and man-made disasters has been particularly important for consumers and for the tourism development of a destination. Tourism has the potential to support and contribute to the protection and safeguarding of tourism resources and natural areas and to the reduction of the negative effects, especially of disasters caused and caused by human intervention. The conservation and protection of natural landmarks and anthropogenic tourism features requires consciously limiting negative human impacts and taking adequate measures to remedy possible and overcome problems that have already occurred.
