Abstract:
Consultants play a fundamental role in helping businesses to navigate in a new economic reality to overcome challenges and guide them in the right direction through expert advice in the form of a consulting project. The tourism industry has indeed seen impressive growth over the last century with a significant contribution to the global economy, but unfortunately leaves behind adverse consequences for both local communities and natural and anthropogenic tourism resources. An effective way to deal with adverse consequences is to be guided by codes of ethics. They are entirely for the benefit of all participants in the tourism industry and aim to ensure that tourism is conducted in a manner that is ethical, responsible and sustainable. It is extremely important for the business consultant to undertake the commitment to implement topics such as ethics, social responsibility and maintaining sustainable tourism in tourism organizations.
