Abstract:

The aim is to structure and synthesize the marketing concepts before and after the traditional marketing concept. The evolution of marketing concepts is presented chronologically, by dividing them into three main types - sales, traditional and holistic. The traditional marketing concept puts the customer and his satisfaction at the canter through a traditional 4P mix. It is preceded by three sales marketing concepts - production, product and trade, which emphasize sales through advertising. After the traditional are the holistic marketing concepts – social, ecological / green and sustainable, which aim to increase the lifetime value of customers, achieve sustainable development and environmental protection, by upgrading the traditional 4P toolkit with new tools – 4C, 4R, 4I and etc.
