Abstract:

There are different characteristics that define the vision of an airline depending on its type. The main function of airlines is to transport people, cargo and mail. In Bulgaria, permission for the activities of the airlines is issued by the General Directorate “Civil and Aviation Organization”, Sofia. The same organization also regulates and harmonizes the entire regulatory framework of aviation, consistent with international organizations – ICAO, EASA and others. The main purpose of this paper is to outline the basic vision of the airline in principle! For most companies, the vision is focused on the safety and sustainability of airline operations. The main dimensions of sustainable development are manifested in two interrelated aspects: economic and social. Airlines in Bulgaria strive to apply the “going concern” accounting principle, in which companies are not expected to go bankrupt or make huge losses and liquidate, but on the contrary to operate at a profit and people to be satisfied with the aviation service used. The present study is motivated both by the topicality of the problem of characterizing the vision of airlines, and also by the lack of an objective method to measure the degree of development achieved in both a global and a regional context.
