Abstract:
The national debt is a key macroeconomic indicator for the welfare and economic growth of a country. It is commonly formed through internal and external national debt. Usually, the national debt is handled with government securities and junk bonds. It is in a close relationship with the other macroeconomic indicators: GNP (gross domestic product at purchasing power parity), foreign direct investment, inflation, unemployment. The current work examines the concept and formation of national debt, and gives some useful recommendations for solving the problem of this phenomenon.
