Abstract:

This article provides a theoretical overview of the impact of social media on young people, examining the phenomenon of digital dependence through the lens of intergenerational differences, transformations in interpersonal communication, and psychological effects such as anxiety, FOMO, and loss of self-regulation. Based on contemporary theoretical frameworks and a review of relevant literature, the paper outlines key challenges to digital well-being and discusses potential strategic approaches involving education, critical thinking, and the development of personal habits for maintaining sustainable digital balance.
