Abstract:

Professor Kovachev’s apex of research is indisputably his Dictionary of Etymology and Frequency of use of proper names. The valuable information collected in this work can be a starting point for new research in the field of anthroponymy. This particular study presents the observations on proper and family names of Bulgarians in some settlements in Southern Moldova.
