Abstract:

The article presents an attempt at studying the social variability of linguistic units with ж/дж in Kazakh in a situation of communication and the need of presenting them for educational purposes in Russian. It has made use of Kazakh materials — toponyms, anthroponyms and ethnonyms commonly used in Russian.
