Abstract:

This article deals with regional place names extracted from Greek and Latin texts, sea-maps (periploi) and itineraries of Vth century BC — VIth century AD depicting Haemimontus region. Under thorough examination are graphic forms, etymology, semantics and identification of antique place names.
