Abstract:

The northern part of the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast, and in particular Varna and Dobrich, are part of the Bulgarian language territory where in the past there was an intense movement of ethnographic and regional groups, some of them, known as Bulgars, Cumans, Pechenegs, Torkils, took part in the formation of the Bulgarian nation. Proper names, related to them, are analyzed from a linguo-archaeological aspect.
