PROCEDURE FOR ACCEPTING AND FORMATTING STANDARDS OF METERIALS IN THE ANNUAL OF THE FACULTY OF EDUCATION
PROCEDURE
The Annual of the Faculty of Education accepts only manuscripts that meet the aims, thematic areas, and technical requirements of the publication. Each author is entitled to two publications per issue — one single-authored and one co-authored.
Those wishing to publish a scientific paper may apply throughout the year via the e-mail of the International Editorial Board: gpf_vtu@ts.uni-vt.bg. The deadline for inclusion in the current year’s issue is March 1.
The review process of submitted publications is carried out in several stages:
-
Approval of the text by the Editor-in-Chief and the International Editorial Board with respect to the aims of the publication, compliance with technical requirements for the specific type of material (study, article, etc.), the ethical code, and the publication’s regulations;
-
Submission of manuscripts for anonymous double-blind review by independent, authoritative scholars and a plagiarism check;
-
If the reviewers provide recommendations, the manuscripts are returned to the author for revision within 10 days of receipt in order to improve the text. If a negative review is received, the material is sent to a third reviewer. In cases of detected plagiarism or two negative reviews, the manuscripts are not published;
-
Final approval by the Editor-in-Chief and the International Editorial Board.
PhD students applying to publish a paper must also submit a written recommendation from their academic supervisor in free-text form.
Each author must complete a declaration of originality. When authors publish studies that include experimental or empirical research, they must provide a free-text declaration confirming that they have complied with ethical standards for research involving human participants, including informed consent.
The International Editorial Board submits to the University Publishing House at St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo for publication, both in print and electronic form, only those manuscripts for which the author(s) have received two positive reviews.
