The Annual of the Faculty of Education at St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo is addressed to a broad readership. It unites the efforts of all those engaged in the creation of a modern and progressive educational policy. It encompasses contemporary areas of pedagogical knowledge and works toward implementing a scientific approach in the practice of institutions within the preschool and school education system — kindergartens, schools, centers for personal development support, and specialized service units. The Academic Yearbook of the Faculty of Pedagogy is committed to the search for and development of effective technologies for teaching and lifelong learning.
Priority is given to articles and/or studies authored by faculty members of the Faculty of Education.
The review process of submitted publications is carried out in several stages:
-
Approval of the text by the Editor-in-Chief and the International Editorial Board with respect to the aims of the publication, compliance with technical requirements for the specific type of material (study, article, etc.), the ethical code, and the publication’s regulations;
-
Submission of manuscripts for anonymous double-blind review by independent, authoritative scholars and a plagiarism check;
-
If the reviewers provide recommendations, the manuscripts are returned to the author for revision within 10 days of receipt in order to improve the text. If a negative review is received, the material is sent to a third reviewer. In cases of detected plagiarism or two negative reviews, the manuscripts are not published;
-
Final approval by the Editor-in-Chief and the International Editorial Board.
The International Editorial Board approves for publication only materials that have not been submitted or sent for review to other journals. It works toward the development of a new generation of scholars and teacher-researchers capable of timely discovering and continuously developing the creative potential of the individual. The Editor-in-Chief and the International Editorial Board engage independent, authoritative scholars for the anonymous evaluation of manuscripts. Reviewers are guided by high standards in the blind review process, as reflected in a specialized evaluation form. They recommend for publication only those works distinguished by in-depth authorial analyses of classical and contemporary pedagogical theories, scientifically grounded innovative ideas, experimental results, and effective educational practices.
