The Role of Music in Teaching English to Children at Preschool and Primary School Ages

Abstract:

The main goal of this article is to present the role of music as a methodological resource in early foreign language learning. On the basis of personal experience, observations, and synthesis of scientific information, the author aims to prove that teaching English to young learners through songs is the fastest way to memorize words, sentences, phrases, collocations, and grammatical constructions. In addition, through songs, children can significantly improve their language skills of speaking, listening, and writing, while simultaneously developing their music skills in an interactive learning environment.
