Abstract:
This article examines the game-based approach as an inclusive pedagogical framework for football education for children and youth with special educational needs. The focus is placed on transforming football from a competition-oriented practice into a pedagogical environment that promotes active participation, positive experience, and individual progress. The paper analyses the role of play as a means of adapting rules, workload, and social interactions within heterogeneous groups. Particular attention is given to the pedagogical conditions for implementing a gamebased approach in inclusive settings, as well as to the role of the teacher or coach as a mediator of the game process. The article highlights the potential of the game-based approach to support motor development, social inclusion, and emotional engagement of children and youth with special educational needs and outlines directions for further methodological and empirical research.
