Abstract:
The Stamboliyski Government was collapsed as a result of the coup in June 9th 1923 in Bulgaria. The reflections of the event on the foreign policy of Bulgaria and especially on relations with its neighbour countries was an important concern for Turkey considering the critical political conditions . For this reason, the event took great attention in Ýstanbul. The famous newspapers of the period Vakit, Tanin and Ýkdam informed their readers in detail about the coup of June 9th 1923. This paper analyses how the coup was reflected in Ýstanbul press.
