An Old-bulgarian Translation of Two Homilies about the Second Sunday before lent (Meat Shrovetide) (according to Russian Transcripts of the 12th and 15th centuries)

Abstract:

The texts of two versions of a calendar homily about the Second Sunday before Lent (Meat Shrovetide) according to three Russian calendars of the 12th and 15th centuries are presented in the paper. The Glagolitic alphabet has been used in the earlier translation preserved in the Russian transcripts Тр. 9 and Тр. 11 that have kept the peculiarities of the archetype of the translation. The second homily about the Second Sunday before Lent is included in the Didactic Gospel translated by Constantine of Preslav. Its earliest transcript is the Russian Син. 262 dating back to the 12th century.
