British-Bulgarian relations in the late XIX and early XX century in the Bulgarian historiography

Abstract:
In the present article are analyzed the most well-known researches in relation with the politics of the united Kingdom of Great Britain regarding the so called „Eastern Question“ and its touch points with Bulgaria. The period that has been explored is 1894–1903. The historiographical review shows that direct diplomatic relationship almost no exist. The interaction of diplomatic relationship between the two sides is European Turkey and especially Macedonia and Eastern Thrace that affect Bulgaria. The touch points between England and Bulgaria at that period are cyclic and are always associated with a problem that arises in the Ottoman Empire such as Ilinden-Preobrazhenie uprising and reform actions before it and after.
