Tha Chamber care for salt production – one of the main industries in the region, but also for the optimization of sea fishing – traditional livelihood of the population living along the Black Sea Coast. The leadership of the Chamber initiated a number of meetings and hearings to regulate and improve the conditions and production, but also offers the government repeatedly adequate changes to existing law. Another big problem to the Governing Board of the Chamber is the poor state of infrastructure, which is a serious obstacle, as trade requires a sound road network, and one in the region is missing entirely. The role of the port as one of the most important conditions for the rise and development of Burgas as a commercial and industrial center is an issue which has drawn huge attention. With its modernization upturn goes forward at a rapid pace. Unfortunately, wars and the postwar situation a damaging impact on the economic and business life in the area. The end of World War finds Bulgaria in a serious economic situation and imports and its exports are extremely limited.
