Abstract:
Issue problem to some extent overshadowed the Peloponnesian War and Theban hegemony, but it appears in many ways the link between them. This finding raises a number of issues that relate to the overall interpretation of historical processes at the end of V – the first half of IV B.C. In this case, an attempt is made to analyze the causes leading to the unification of the leading Hellenic polis against Sparta, many of which are its former allies. In this regard analyze both internal and external factors caused the creation of this coalition. Object of study is the role of Achaemenid Persia in these processes and motivation of its foreign policy in the period. Analyze the impact of war on Hellenic polis, as in the years immediately after its end, and in a somewhat distant perspective.
