Abstract:
Bulgarian folk art has a great diversity and richness. The jewelery decoration determines to a great extent the idolatry and the originality of the folk costumes. The embroidery decoration is typical for the whole country, but the widest application is found in the traditional clothing of the population of North, Northwestern Bulgaria. From the Latin “modus”, through the French “mode” in Bulgaria, the term “fashion” was imposed. It is conditioned by the taste of time most often in the form of clothing, figure, manners, jewelry, art, literature. Pelagia Vidinska is a woman who presented Bulgaria to the European fashion map 100 years ago. Develops the trend in world fashion for the return of ethno and folk elements in design.
