Abstract:

The research clarifies the nature and place of cultural geography in its relations with culture and respectively with culturology. The general conception of significant changes in the methodology of Humanities, synthesized as a trend of substitution of the historical explanatory matrix (paradigm) with geographical one, has been shared and confirmed. The work makes an attempt for historical-geographic, literary-geographic and geopsychological rationalization of the cultural image of the territory.
