Abstract:
The authors, together with their publications concerning the topic, are presented chronologically. The basic achievements and tendencies in the analysis are presented from a historical point of view. The three main periods in the post-independence period are viewed – the positive one, the Marxian and post-Marxian periods. The roles of the archeological information in the study of the crafts, and the main archeological interpretations, have been stressed out. Together with this, we have taken into consideration the data coming out of the written sources (manuscripts and inscriptions). For a perfected perspicuity, I have set up a table of the Old Bulgarian terms concerning the crafts and the craftsmanship.
Keywords:
crafts, Middle Ages, Second Bulgarian Kingdom, middle age economics, craftsman production, craftsmanship terminology.
